Monippally
- The Spicy Virgin Village!
Monippally is a small and peaceful village in Kottayam district, Kerala state, South India. Formerly known as 'Mohanappally'
- Beautiful Place or 'Munippally' - Temple of 'Muni', Sage or
Saints. In her yesteryears, Monippally was a famous ginger cultivation area in Central Travancore. Dry Ginger, Turmeric and Kacholam were the main attractions of trade.
Monippally's non-resident population has always had a significant impact on its economy. But agriculture is the soul of Monippallians, and is critically important to its economy. Villagers are engaged in crop plantations of rubber, cocoa, vanilla, black pepper, ginger and turmeric.
Due to a large amount of emigration, and thus a large amount of foreign cash flowing into the village, the village has a very high social life index - very high literacy rates and high occurrence of 'creature comforts'.
There is a strong emphasis on education and healthcare.
Reach
the Culture!
"Unity in diversity". It is not just another phrase or quotation. But, these words are highly prudent to a country like India that is incredibly rich in culture and heritage. Few quotations or statements cannot describe the pedestal that India holds in the world map because of its colorful and unique culture.
From the times of Mauryas, Cholas, Mughals till to the period of British Empire, India has always been famous for its traditions and hospitality. The warmth in the relations and euphoria in celebrations make the country stands out distinctively in the clutter. The country's liveliness and generosity attract a number of tourists. The cuisines, festivals, music, literature, and theatre…everything is 'special' in this
'God's own country'.
The Indian culture has never been rigid and that's why it's surviving with pride in the modern era. It timely imbibes the qualities of various other cultures and comes out as a contemporary and acceptable tradition. That is what unique about the Indian culture…it moves on with the time.
Our
Vision - Reach the Culture
Indians everywhere should become
enlightened International citizens. Wherever you are, whichever
country you live, enrich that nation, not only in financial
terms, but also with your sweat knowledge and dignity since that
is the tradition of the country from where you came. At the same
time, remember we have a common umbilical connectivity to our
motherland, India. A P J Abdul
Kalam
