A
variety of entertainment programs and events were arranged to
cheer the children and grown ups.
The
events were started with a 'Chendamelam' performed by
'Nottingham Boys' as a warm welcome to the gathering. Program
Co-ordinator Siju Kuruppanthara briefly explained the activities
and programs included in the event. The cultural meeting
began with a prayer song from all the children of MEC. In his
welcome speech, Mr. Christy Aranjaniyil invite all the guestes
and special invitees to the program. In his presidential
address, MEC President, Mr. Joseph Elavumkal expressed
his gratitude to all the supporters and benefactors of
this community for the past five years.
Children
and youngsters from MEC performed various dances and music on
stage. SBT Monippally sponsored ever rolling trophy for 'Best
Couple' is bagged by Joshy and Deepthy Anithottathil for their
stunning performance in the competition.
After the stage events
and music show, MEC general body unanimously elected new
office bearers for the year 2011-13. The general body also
agreed to hold 6th 'Sangamam' in Kent.
The celebrations were lavish and most of the
Monippalians living in the UK attended the events with great joy
and fervor. The
whole program was so colorful and well organised by the
collective efforts of President E.A Joseph Elavumkal, Secretary
Jiji Varickaserry, Program Co-ordinator Siju Kuruppanthara and
all the committee members.
